SCIP Notification

In accordance with article 33 of the REACh regulation, a producer of products is obliged to communicate information concerning the SVHC substances contained therein along the supply chain. SVHC substances (Substances of Very High Concern) are, in particular, CMR substances, persistent substances and substances with endocrine characteristics.

Up to date

In order to inform waste recyclers and waste disposers, in particular, about potential SVHC substances in products, the so-called SCIP database was installed in the framework of the 9th amendment of the waste framework directive.
Where the directive was adopted into national law, such as e.g. in Austria, every producer of products and composite products has been obliged to actively transmit information concerning the SVHC substances contained therein to ECHA since 05.01.2021.
This can be done with the aid of the SCIP database. Our recommendation in this respect is unequivocally to use the database.

If you have any questions regarding this subject, we will be happy to help or take over this agenda for you.
